Requesting Removal of Data From a Dataset
If you would like to request removal of specific data from a dataset, email data@overturemaps.org. In your email, please provide your name and company (if applicable), the dataset (and its version including a release date) and the specific data that concerns you, the reason for your request, your email and telephone number. Upon authenticating you and your request, Overture will evaluate it and respond. Please note that SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAWS, IT IS IN OVERTURE’S SOLE DISCRETION TO REMOVE DATA FROM A DATASET. OVERTURE IS AN OPEN DATA PROJECT WITH PERMISSIVE DATA LICENSING. IF OVERTURE REMOVES DATA IN RESPONSE TO A REMOVAL REQUEST, BE AWARE THAT OVERTURE MAY BE UNABLE TO RETRIEVE DATA BEYOND OVERTURE DATASETS, NOR CAN OVERTURE MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES THAT THE DATA IS RETRIEVABLE BEYOND THE OVERTURE DATASETS.
Regardless of any requests to remove data, Overture may, in its sole discretion, remove data that it considers to be inappropriate, offensive or inaccurate.
