Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) iDays 2025

OGC iDays 2025, which takes place on December 9-10 in Bad Nauheim, Germany, will bring together 250 leaders to advance trusted, interoperable, and sovereign geospatial infrastructures through open dialogue and collaboration.Confirmed participants include NATO, the European Commission, Google, Hexagon, Esri, Nvidia, Trimble, Fraunhofer Institute, the City of Rotterdam, NRCan, TNFD and National Mapping Agencies from across Europe and beyond, among many more.
Overture Maps is excited to join OGC iDays 2025 with sessions that showcase our commitment to open data, interoperable geospatial infrastructure, and the future of connected spatial data ecosystems.
- On Tuesday, December 9 at 2-3 pm (CET) – Albi Wiedersberg, VP of Product Management for Overture Maps, will participate in a panel discussing Europe’s Geospatial Mandate. As Europe shapes its digital and data future, national mapping agencies play a crucial role in defining what society truly needs from geospatial information. This session gives the floor to European voices confronting the growing demand for trusted, interoperable data — exploring the challenges of policy alignment, sustainability, and public value before diving into technical solutions.
- On Wednesday, December 10 at 2-3:30 pm (CET) – Amy Rose, CTO of Overture Maps, will participate in a session titled, “From Principles to Practice: Delivering Interoperable Data at Scale.” As policy ambitions and new security realities meet the operational front line, National Mapping Agencies must deliver trusted, interoperable data at speed and scale. This session goes from principles to practice: implementing OGC APIs, operationalizing community standards, advancing public–private data partnership models, and building production-grade pipelines for 2D/3D, Digital Twins, and AI‑ready data.
